This project began with the question of what a public centre could mean within an ordinary urban setting. Instead of imagining civic space as monumental or isolated, I was interested in how it might support daily movement, informal gathering, and shared visibility. The building was therefore conceived not only as a container of programmes, but as a framework for encounter within the rhythm of everyday life.

The main design strategy was to use circulation as the core public element of the project. A folded system of platforms, stairways, and suspended planes extends through the interior, linking different floors while generating a sequence of open and compressed spaces. This intervention establishes a stronger sense of continuity within the building and allows movement itself to become part of the architectural experience.

The project also explores how a restrained architectural shell can coexist with a more expressive interior language. While the outer volume remains relatively calm within the surrounding urban fabric, the interior introduces warmth, depth, and spatial drama through material contrast and sectional variation. In this way, the public centre is imagined as a place where collective life unfolds through layered perspectives, incidental encounters, and a shared interior landscape.
